Hyrule, a land of Darkness
1 A/N this story is about what would happen if Link failed to defeat Ganondorf in ocarina of time. All the characters belong to Nintendo. I hope you enjoy the story, please review after.

4 Link pulled out an arrow, aimed it straight towards Ganondorf, charged it up (using the power Zelda gave him) to make it a light arrow, and shot it straight at Ganondorf. It hit him in the middle off the chest and Ganondorf fell to the floor face down gasping for air. Link ran towards Ganondorf with the master sword ready in his hands, he pulled it down at an incredible speed hitting Ganondorf on the temple of his head. Then, Ganondorf fell to the floor and lay face down. Link turned to Zelda and they smiled at each other, then Zelda opened her mouth surprised and gasped. Then Link felt a pain like no other he'd felt before. A sharp, piecing pain of a blade going straight through his back and out his stomach. Link struggled in a spasm of horror; he violently spun around to see Ganondorf with blood covering his hand. Link could see a bright triangle shining on Ganondorf's left hand. 6 Link awoke to see a great, big hole through him.
7 "I-I'm alive?" said Link in a stunned voice. Link looked around and fount out that he was still in the room where he fought Ganondorf, but there was no blood. Link got up and walked around the castle. He entered the great foyer and saw Ganondorf sitting on a throne. Link ran up to Ganondawf, anger pumping through him he jumped with his leg out ready to kick Ganondorf. Instead of hitting Ganondorf, Link went straight through him. At that Link got scared, so scared he ran. He ran into the market. It was a terrible place: full of bodies, dead bodies the buildings had been knocked down and blood was splatter all over the rubble. Link ran into Hyrule Field and towards Death Mountain. One hour later Link was entering the cave where the Great Fairy lived.
8 "Ah, long time no see Link," said the Great Fairy.
9 "What do you mean? I was only here a week ago getting prepared for my battle against Ganondorf," replied Link.
10 "Oh I see, Link you are dead. You've been dead for two and a half years. You are a ghost. The only reason you are still here is that you must have some unfinished business," said the Great Fairy.
11 "D-dead how did I die?" asked Link
12 "Ganondorf killed you two and a half years ago during your battle," replied the Great Fairy "However I could bring you back alive under one condition. You bring me the Fierce Dentity mask!"
