Gravitational Pull

A/N: This is my second OTH drabble-y ficlet. It's a Naley, based on the episode Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace. Enjoy. R&R. Thanks. –Mac

Disclaimer: I don't own OTH.

Gravitational Pull

Haley knew that Nathan was her soul mate. He was The One that everyone seemed to talk about. She wasn't lying when she said that Nathan and Jamie were the most important things in her life. They were her whole world.

She just lost sight of that because the problems they were having were so overwhelming. Romanticism was put on hold for her practical side. Ignoring how much she loved him was wrong of her, she knew, but she couldn't help herself.

Their counselor was right—neither of them was trying to be the people they were when they first fell in love. The truth was they had changed, grown up, but if they were going to hold onto the expectations they had back then they would never live up to them. They had to get past it. Move forward.

And Haley felt they were moving forward. Sitting there with Nathan talking about hopes and dreams and love, she couldn't ignore the magnetic pull she felt toward him. She hadn't felt that instinctive attraction in a long time.

She didn't dare fight it. She surrendered herself to it fully.
