It was the first day of September, and Amy McConnelly was having a hard time picking her outfit for the first day of grade nine. She had her outfit picked out for a week, but at the last minute decided that it wasn't the perfect outfit anymore.
She glanced at the clock, and decided she didn't have anymore time to change her mind, and threw on a three-quarter sleeve shirt, a pair of jeans, and funky heel boots. She grabbed her bag, and headed out the door. Her sister was impatiently waiting at the door, tapping her foot against the floor.
"Come on Amy, let's go!"
Amy swept her long chestnut hair over her shoulder and kissed her dad goodbye as she headed out the door.
