I sighed loudly. Why did I have to act smart? I could said no. But no! I just had to say yes. Me and my freakin' big fat mouth. This mission was no ordinary mission. It could change everything that happens between Konoha and Suna. This mission requires me to stay in Suna forever. Yes, you heard it right. Forever. It may not be that bad to stay in Konoha forever but wait 'til you have to hear the next part.
I HAVE TO GET MARRIED TO SOMEONW THERE.
Who, you may ask? It's our favourite sand-user slash Kazekage, Sabaku No Gaara.
Great. Just Great.
Tsunade-shishou said I could back out from the mission, but no. I had to say something. I had to say, "I won't back out."
Just had to say it.
(Start flashback)
"You know, Sakura, you can don't agree with this you know." My shishou told me.
I smiled and shook my head. "It's okay, Tsunade-shishou." I told her.
"I can always find other ladies, Sakura. You don't have to this."
"I want to do it, Tsunade-shishou. If it's to bring peace and the end of wars, I will accept it."
Tsunade smiled as a tear escaped from her eye. "I'm really proud of you, Sakura. I really am."
"Is the great Tsunade crying?" I teased.
"No I'm not! The great Tsunade never cries!" she declared.
Both of us laughed happily.
(End flashback)
I couldn't sleep. I was already in Suna. It was surprisingly cold at night in Suna. I got up and wandered endlessly around Gaara's house. I walked up a flight of stairs to the roof. There, I saw someone. Red hair and a robe? Gaara. It had to be him? What is he doing here?
"Gaara-san?" I asked. He tuned around and looked at me.
"Aa. Sakura-san." He replied. I walked towards him as I smiled.
"Ne, Gaara-san? What are you doing?" I asked him inquisitively.
"Star gazing.."
"Really? I love star gazing too. The stars are beautiful tonight. Don't you agree?"
He nodded. "Yea, they're beautiful. Just like you." He told me.
I blushed lightly. "Thanks for the compliment."
Then, a strong gust of wind blew. I shivered slightly. I felt something covering me. It was Gaara's cloak.
"Arigatou, Gaara" I told him.
"Are you sure you want to carry on with this marriage?" he asked me.
"I'm completely sure."
"You weren't forced or anything, right?"
"No, I wasn't. I did this because I wanted to."
"Well, that's good. It would be bad if you were forced."
He was worried? Worried about me?
"Well, it's late. Let's go to bed," Gaara said planting a soft peck on my forehead., "Oyasumi, Sakura-chan"
With that, he walked away, to his room. I unconsciously touched my forehead, where he had just kissed me.
Maybe, just maybe, I may fall in love with him. Maybe, just maybe, this marriage wasn't that bad after all.
