*Flashback to September 8, 2015*
"Hello freshmen! Welcome to RedWall High!"
That was the only thing Kurt tuned in for, and he'd already had enough of the principal's peppy and overly-enthusiastic attitude. He scanned the crowd, trying to see if he could identify anyone worth trying to make friends with. Just as he was getting deep into a daydream, Kurt was shoved forward when the crowd started walking. He sighed, finally coming to terms with the fact that summer was over, and he was an incoming high school freshman. "Maybe this will be good. Maybe high school will give you the best memories. Maybe, just maybe, high school might be different than middle school", Kurt thought. Suddenly, he was tripped by a blonde boy, who was probably a foot taller than Kurt. "Out of my way, faggot!", the boy said. Or maybe not.
*Meanwhile, at Hamilton College Prep*
"Good morning, young freshmen. It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Mr. Antonio Balderas, your principal."
Blaine shifted excitedly in his seat, hanging on to the principal's every word. Ecstatic was an understatement to describe his mood. Hamilton had been his dream high school since seventh grade, and he was finally there. He gawked at the array of flags, artwork, and awards that lined the hallway. Blaine's mother placed a hand on his knee to calm him. "Blaine, sweetie, calm down, you look like you're about to jump out of your seat!" Blaine blushed, looking down at his lap, "Sorry, I'm just really happy to be here." The woman smiled at him, happy her son was so willing to be at school for once.
*Fast Forward to August 31, 2017*
Things were ever so different for both of them now, and they would only continue to change.
