Okay, so I'm not sure what everyone else thinks on the subject, but I honestly dislike the ending to the episode Pirate Radio because I felt like it was way too cruel towards Danny. I didn't see why he had to get the receiving end on this one since he did save the day and go through character development. Since I've seen someone do an alternate ending fic to Micromanagement, I decided to do a brief, witty one-shot that also serves as an alternate ending to Pirate Radio. So this is my idea on how the episode should've ended.
Danny Phantom belongs to Butch Hartman and Nickelodeon.
After Sam managed to get the forcefield to stop working, Danny immediately changed into his ghost form just at the brink of plummeting to the ground and becoming a ghost pancake. As soon as he was his half-dead self and not fully dead, there was only one thing on his mind: giving Youngblood the spanking of a lifetime.
He flew up to the ghost ship, where all of his classmates were located. He floated up above the ship to face Youngblood.
"Hey, kid!" Danny shouted at the top of his lungs to the ghostly child. "Playtime is over!"
All the others turned around and were in shock to see the one and only Inviso-Bill before there very eyes.
"Look, it's the handsome ghost boy!" Paulina gushed as she stared smitten. "And he's come to save us!"
Youngblood just growled at the sight of Danny, and eventually they were breaking out into a full-fledged fight. Once the fight was over and Ember bailed while Youngblood got the ultimate timeout, everyone cheered for Inviso-Bill.
"You saved us!" Kwan shouted.
"But where's Fenton?" asked Dash. "Is he okay?"
"He's..." Danny hesitated for a bit. "I put him right behind the flagpole. I'll go get him." Danny flew behind the flagpole and changed back into his human form with a flash. He then walked out from behind the flagpole, revealing himself to the teens. Everyone was happy and relieved that he was okay, even cheering for him for carrying out his accomplishment. Heck, even Dash was getting in on the bandwagon. He started having second thoughts about wailing on him tomorrow at school and then finally agreed that he would let him off the hook tomorrow.
As soon as the adults were saved, Danny told the truth to his parents about the ghost attack that had happened and why he had to use the blimp. They believed and thanked him, but he was still punished for the party the popular kids threw at his house and had to clean up. Danny didn't really care. He was just happy that everyone at school appreciated him for something.
