A/N; I wanted to write something after reichenbach falls but could not bring myself to write anything longer. My heart went out to John in this episode. Freeman played the part amazingly. Can't wait for season three!
Broken
He was broken, there was nothing left. He'd been lost once before, thought his days were numbered, then he had met Sherlock, seen the light and his life had changed. He'd had a purpose, a friend...a best friend. It hurt to remember the good times, the inappropriate giggles at crime scenes, being the only one that could see just how human Sherlock really was, just how much he cared even if it was just for a select few. Now he had nothing, the light was gone forever; he didn't even have revenge, just a broken heart and an empty flat.
