Cora Knight knew the Impossible. So why did she make him believe that their love wasn't possible? The cute, brown-haired boy that she learned to love was what she went out searching for in the first place! So why was it so hard for her to realize that what they had was real? Sure, she was a faerie, and he was a spellcaster, both forbidden to even communicate according to the Law. And her father! If he found out, who knew what would happen to Cora or her love himself?
Cora stood at the base of Faerie Haven, willing herself not to turn back. She had to find the Spellcaster, and she had to find the seer that helped the woman become who she was today. Cora shook her head. No, her mission was more than that. The Law forbade any communication between faeries and spellcasters, and she had to put a stop to that.
Her dark brown hair flowed behind her, ringlets curling in, then out again. Her pastel blue eyes, hidden behind dark lashes, blinked away tears. Could she do this? Or was it the Impossible? Cora remembered a song her mother used to sing to her, when the girl herself was only five or six.

Happy. She was asked to be happy, by the Faerie Council itself, but was she ever able to be? She was never able to be attracted to her own kind, and instead she felt a passionate longing to the spellcasters brought in from the outside world, the ones that were immediately sent to prison for life.
