Bobby was sitting in a lawn chair watching the two Winchester kids. John had gone off on a hunt nearby and figured that it was safer to leave them with Bobby than at a motel room all alone. The old hunter watched with a content smile as Sam, who at this point was five, and Dean, ten, were running around the junkyard with butterfly nets in an attempt to catch frogs. It warmed his heart whenever he saw the kids had a chance to be, well, just that, kids.

"Dwean, look!" Sam called out, holding up his small tank to show off his catch. It was a beautiful, green frog that looked like it had just jumped out of the rain forest, not from under a bunch of old, rusted cars.

Dean smiled at his little brother and ruffled his long, auburn hair. "Good one, Sammy. Lookit mine." Dean said, holding out his own tank which held a brown, wart covered toad.

"Dwean, dats a twoad, not a fwoggy!" Sam explained. Even at five, he had read his fair share of books and already had an impressive amount of information in his head.

Dean rolled his eyes, sometimes having a brother just as smart as Einstein could be annoying. "I don't cares." Dean declared. "I like the way he looks." Dean

muttered, looking down to his catch through the clear plastic.

"Boys, get yer behinds over here!" Bobby hollered, and Dean obediently ran over, Sam close behind. "Lemme see what ya idjits caught."

Sam and Dean both grinned and held out their tanks so Bobby could see. Bobby couldn't help but smile himself at how proud the boys looked. "Ya know what ya gotta do now?" Bobby question and then brothers both shook their heads no. "Ya'll gotta get sticks and leaves and water for them to be comfortable. Get to it." Bobby ordered, and the boys ran off.

About twenty minutes later, both boys had arrived with very different things. Sam had light green leaves, flowers of various colors, smooth stones, and birch branches. Dean, however, had wilted dandelions, darker leaves, and rotting branches. Bobby watch as the two set up their tanks and then led them inside.

"Ungry!" Sam said and Bobby smiled, lifting up the youngest little Winchester.

"How do burgers sound?" Bobby questioned, earning a cheer from Dean and a groan from Sam. "Alright, alright. Burgers and salad, Sammy, go get some vegetables from the garden." Bobby sat Sam down, watching as he ran out of the house to get his ingredients.

"You, you're helping me make the burgers." Bobby said to Dean, leading him into the kitchen and pulling out raw beef and cheese. He molded the meat around the cheese, smiling to Dean. "This way, when you cook it, the cheese is on the inside. It's how my dad taught me to make them." Bobby explained. Dean nodded and began to get to work making the patties himself as Bobby cooked them. Dean's mouth was watering by the time Sam returned with the vegetables. He held them out to Bobby, there was lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers. Bobby washed them all off, cut them up, and sent the boys off to eat.

Sam and Dean sat together on opposite sides of the couch, eating their food and watching SpongeBob. Bobby, however, was still in the kitchen, heating up two mugs of water. When the timer went off, he pulled out the cups and stirred in cocoa mix. He smiled, bringing it out to the two boys and sitting between them on the couch. Each brother took a mug, sipping at the hot liquid slowly. Moments after they finished it they both curled up to Bobby and drifted away. Bobby smiled, running his fingers through their hair and falling asleep himself as the tv buzzed quietly in the background.
