"The dark-haired man seemed utterly bored, like he had seen too many a millennia of Aro's enthusiasm."

Aro stared wistfully out of the castle window. From this height, he could see the food-Mortals-HUMANS rushing about the cobbled streets of Volterra. Suddenly he heard the distant chime of a bell. Automatically, he snapped his head to look around in the direction of the church. The food-HUMANS had not been planning to host any events today as far as he was aware and the church bells were seemingly still. Aro began to focus and home in on the sound in the hope that he might be able to trace it. Then an unsuspecting human pedalled the cause of the sound into Aro's view and slowly, a grin of pure glee lit up his vampiric features. ''I WANT A BIKE!'' Aro yelled.

Hours later Marcus clenched his jaw as he wished for the 457th time that Aro were mute. Perhaps he should assist his fellow king in ripping his tongue out... After all everyone would appreciate it... in fact, Marcus was sure that he would be given a great deal of assistance from the other vampires of the Volturi who valued their eardrums. Then Marcus' thoughts (albeit twisted thoughts) were destroyed by the sudden shriek that seemed to shake the castle to its very foundations. Caius muttered, "Do you think he realises that he screams like a girl?"

Instantly Aro yelled back, from one of the distant recesses of the castle "I do not."

"YOU WOULD NEVER GUESS THAT YOU ARE OVER 600 YEARS OLD," Caius bellowed back. Unexpectedly Aro swiftly pedalled into the throne room with such speed even the vampires had to squint to see him. Then recklessly, Aro slammed on the brakes, and then, almost in slow motion Aro went flying over the handlebars of the bike, only to smash into a priceless Ming vase that the Volturi had acquired some hundred years ago.

Marcus, resisting the urge to scream and hit Aro repeatedly around the head turned to Jane. "What is the damage rate now?" Jane, scratching her head reached deep into the pocket of her robes to produce a notebook along with her trusty PaperChase biro. "Well so far that's 50 walls, 20 windows, 46 doors, 98 bikes..."

Aro leapt back onto the bike "WWWWWHHHHHHHEEEEEEE," he yelled as he pedalled at high speed out of the Throne room.

"Here we go again!" moaned Caius as Marcus dragged him out of the room after Aro with Jane following them continuing on with her list "...15 TVs (including mine FYI), the Wii, the Xbox and 10 vases." A smash then resonates throughout the castle "...make that 11 vases destroyed..."
