Hiccup Haddock had a strange fascination with pirates.
He couldn't even explain it.
From a young age he had been intrigued by them and their dangerous adventures.
One day he decided he might as well dress up like one.
Because why not?
When he walked out of his hut in his new attire and kohl smudged around his eyes, he was met by strange looks from all of his friends.
"What on earth is this fishbone wearing!" Snotlout shouted. "Honestly Hiccup, you look ridiculous."
The others hummed in agreement.
All save for Astrid.
"I actually think he looks pretty hot," she admitted out loud.
Ruffnut and Heather made disgusted faces.
Astrid shrugged. She didn't care what anyone else thought. To her Hiccup would look hot in anything.
But there was definitely something about that kohl that gave Hiccup a dangerous edge.
And Astrid liked. She liked it a lot.
Hiccup was happy Astrid found his change of appearance attractive for he was definitely going to be dressed as a pirate in the long haul.
"I think I'm going to make myself an eyepatch as well," he declared and then sauntered over to his little forge to do exactly that.
