This is for Wotcher-Tonks's - The Weather Challenge. It is Percy/Audrey and snow. Please review and tell me what you think.
FYI - It is based in my 'Luv' universe. Molly is the daughter of Penny and Percy, but Penny was killed by Death Eaters during the war. Percy nicknamed Molly as Luv. This takes place December, 1998.
The characters of the Harry Potter universe belong to Ms. Rowlings, and I'm borrowing them for my own imagination.
Change of Plans
Percy set the tray of food and wine on the floor in front of the lit fireplace, before joining Audrey at the picture window.
"Isn't it beautiful out there?" Audrey asked as she felt him slip an arm around her waist.
Percy stared at the snow that had ruined his plans for tonight not responding.
"I know you had more elaborate plans tonight, but I will enjoy our little impromptu picnic in front of the fire. All that matters is spending time together." Audrey said to him.
"You're right. I just wanted tonight to be perfect. Luv is staying all night with your father. I wanted to make the most of it." Percy said as he took her hand and led her to the blanket laid out in front of the fire.
"I'm sure we can take great advantage of the arrangement." Audrey grinned with a knowing look in her eyes.
"You have such a dirty mind." Percy said.
"You love it." Audrey countered and they both laughed.
Percy sat on the blanket and Audrey sat next to him. While he poured the wine, she dished up the meal. They ate while talking about the up coming Christmas holidays, and shared affectionate kisses and caresses. When they were done with their meal, Audrey insisted on carrying the food back into the kitchen, while Percy poured more wine.
When she arrived back, she sat in front of him leaning back into him, so her back was resting against his chest. She sipped her wine as she caressed his leg while Percy wrapped his free arm around her and played with the waist of her jeans.
"Now isn't this perfectly romantic?" Audrey said as her head rested against him.
"Almost, I actually have something that will make it perfect." Percy said.
Audrey was about to teasingly scold him on his smutty mind, but her thoughts died in her throat as her eyes registered the diamond ring he was holding in front of her.
"Percy." She gasped tears started to welling up in her eyes.
"You have been a miracle in my life. I love you so much. My daughter loves you, and I know that you love her almost as much as I do, which only makes me love you more. I would love nothing more than if we could share our futures together. Will you marry me?" Percy said shifting her so he could see her face.
"Yes." She said tears in her eyes, but a bright smile on her face.
He slipped the ring on her finger and kissed it. Then he kissed her and she returned his kisses. As their kisses became more and more heated, Percy was actually grateful for the snow that changed his plans for this evening, very grateful.
The End
