Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! This came into my mind at school. When you're in middle school, things sure are different on Valentine's Day… but this isn't the only V-Day one shot I'll upload. Keep your eyes open, and spread the lurve! BTW, the song used is "With You" by Chris Brown.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Alvin and the Chipmunks…unfortunately :(
Jeanette bit back a sob as she flopped onto her bed. She didn't understand it. She and Simon had been going steady ever since their senior year in high school. College graduation had occurred four years later (last year). And for all those years, they had celebrated Valentine's Day together. She couldn't understand why this year, he hadn't spoken to her at all.
Now it was nighttime, and she hadn't seen him all day. Sure, Alvin had given Brittany a beautiful gift of diamonds. Of course, Theodore had surprised Eleanor with a romantic candlelit dinner. But where was Simon? She, in all honesty, was heartbroken. Why hadn't he spoken to her? He didn't even call! All she wanted was to see him!
I need you boo
I gotta see you boo
And the hearts all over the world tonight
Said the hearts all over the world tonight
Jeanette sat up at the familiar voice. Her heart began to pound, and she darted to the window. A huge smile grew on her face when she saw who was singing beneath it.
Oh! I'm into you
Girl, no one else would do
'Cause with every kiss, and every hug
You make me fall in love
And now I, know I can't be the only one
I bet there's hearts all over the world tonight
With the love of their life who feels
What I feel when I'm with you
With you
With you
With you
With you
Jeanette bolted down the stairs and out the front door. She was promptly embraced by Simon.
"Happy Valentine's Day." He said with a smile, leading her to his car.
"Where are we going?" she asked. He just smiled at her.
"It's a surprise."
As they drove, Jeanette began to feel elated-and a little guilty. How could she have doubted him? Simon loved her; there was no denying that. She looked out the window, and her eyes lit up as Simon parked.
"Oh, Simon!"
They were at the park, near the hill. Down below, the city lights sparkled. Up above, the stars twinkled. And on the hill sat a blanket, two candles, and a picnic basket. Simon got out and opened the door for Jeanette. He led her to the picnic, and for thirty minutes they sat together, gazing up at the stars.
"Oh, look! A shooting star!" Jeanette pointed to the bright light streaking across the sky. She gasped as another one fell, followed by three more.
"A meteor shower!" Jeanette jumped up and twirled around. Simon laughed and stood up.
"Would you care to dance?" he said, offering her his hand. She grinned and accepted. They twirled around on the hill, dancing and laughing. Eventually they stopped and embraced, breathless underneath the beautiful night sky. Suddenly, Simon looked a little nervous.
"Jeanette…"
"Yes, Simon?" the bespectacled chipmunk took a deep breath.
"You are everything to me. You're my heart, my soul, and what makes me complete. You're the best thing that ever happened to me. You know just what to do to make me smile. I would love nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you." Jeanette gasped at Simon knelt down on one knee and reached into his pocket.
"Jeanette Miller, will you marry me?"
"Yes, oh yes!" Jeanette felt happy tears fill her eyes as Simon pulled her into a loving embrace and a passionate kiss. This was definitely the best Valentine's Day ever!
