When Delila White was 10 years old, she discovered she had a special power. She could control and produce fire and heal burns. She excitedly told her best friend, Alayna Fraser, her secret only to discover, Alayna had a special "gift" as well. She could control water, breathe underwater and even communicate with underwater creatures. Delila learned not only that, but that two of her other friends had these mysterious powers as well. Kaylie Press could manipulate the winds and communicate with birds, while Cody McDonald could control light and dark. The four of them quickly formed a tight bond and started to learn to control their powers, while secretly searching for others with these magical powers.
Within the year, they managed to find three others and convinced them to join their group and transfer to their school. Kyle King could create and manipulate rocks and magma, Tremaine Masoner could control the weather and Andrew Masoner could produce ice and snow. Their group of eight was complete a year later, after Danielle McNeil moved to the area and revealed her secret of being able to talk to animals and grow and direct plant life.
For the next following years, the eight of them were inseparable. They worked on building their strengths and analysing their weaknesses. That was until that one day. The one that would change them all.
