I don't own Pokemon.

Ash Ketchum rarely showed fear when he was with his friends, especially with Misty.

He knew that fear could control his life if he let it, which is why he never showed it all that much.

One day, things changed for him.

He was talking with Brock and Misty about some different strategies when an unknown trainer asked him about something regarding training for a gym battle.

He kind of froze at the trainer and sputtered out an answer, which caused Misty to get a little suspicious of her friend.

She asked her raven-haired friend to meet her in their living quarters in the Pokemon Center and he agreed.

Soon, they were sitting next to each other on his bed.

"Ash, what happened out there?" asked Misty softly.

"N-nothing really happened. Nothing at all." replied Ash, trying to wave it off.

"Come on, Ash. I know that something happened and I want to know. Please?" asked Misty, wanting to help him.

Ash nodded before finally deciding to tell her about something.

"Misty, I have a phobia. A special kind of phobia." replied Ash, looking down at his hands.

"And what is this phobia?" asked Misty, pressing for more information.

"It's called Xenophobia." replied Ash, looking over at her with tears in his eyes.

"You mean the phobia that is fear of meeting strangers?" asked Misty, which made Ash reply with a nod before tears rolled down his face.

Misty brought him into a hug and he cried for a little while before being released from her grip and wiping the tears.

He thanked her before he gave her a hug and they both smiled before going back into the lobby with Brock.

They gave a slight nod of the head to acknowledge that they would work together to help the raven-haired boy overcome the xenophobia.

The End!

Hope you enjoyed Xenophobia! Happy Memorial Day! I recently gave a reason why I was gone for so long so read the final chapter of Under A Spell if you want to know why.
