Regret Written On A Piece Of Paper

A poem which is sad but also a bit true. You don't have to have a long summary to realize what it is about after you've read it so... :D It's btw really short so you should give it a chance even if you are not into poems. Thx, Trasselgirl

I though of it while listening to A Drop In The Ocean by Ron Pope, which ya'll totally should check out!

I wished for love,

Then I wished for you to stay away.

I stole your heart,

Only to lock mine up in a cage.

I longed for sweet words,

While throwing madness at your face.

You loved me still,

But I no longer wished for love.

The world broke me into pieces,

And I wished for it to stay that way.

I should have been careful what I wished for,

Because you are now too far away.

And in between the things I now realize were true,

It's also true that it is all too late.
