Malik stood on the very edge of the porch, watching the rain fall with a curious expression on his face. He had seen rain before, of course, but it never failed to fascinate him. Thunder boomed and he jumped slightly, rocking back on his heels so as not to fall out into the downpour. He'd been warned against going out - not only because he might get pneumonia, but also he could apparently get struck by this lightening and die.
This was a much stranger concept than water falling from the sky, and he wasn't entirely inclined to believe it. But then, Otogi had never lied to him about such things before, so he really couldn't see why he'd start now. If Bakura had said it, he probably wouldn't have had the least bit of trouble believing it, but then Bakura was always unbearably serious about everything.
The rain slowed, but the thunder and lightning continued at regular intervals. Otogi, he could see, was in the doorway. He looked irritated, but he could tell that whatever danger he professed there was to Malik's health wouldn't be enough to stop him. Grinning, shirtless, barefoot, Malik ran out into the rain, and was instantly soaked.
He was laughing when Otogi joined him, and lightning lit up the whole street as they kissed.
