Remus paced outside the door. He was going crazy waiting. She'd been in labor for twelve hours when they finally had to kick him out of the room. Could they blame him for loosing it a bit? I mean, it was his bloody wife for heavens sake! Anyways, that was four hours ago. Sixteen hours of labor. Sixteen. He finally sunk against the wall in defeat. The full moon was near and when you add that to the stress of having a pregnant wife and he was about to go completely mental. Another hour passed, maybe two, before the doctor finally came out and said, "Would you like to meet your son?"

Slowly, Remus stood up and walked into the room. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion as he walked to the bed and saw his beautiful wife, Tonks, holding a small blue bundle. He looked down and saw the shining face of his son. His son. Tonks' eyes were full of joyful tears as she looked from her husband, to the baby, and back to her husband. She saw the fear in his eyes, knew that he was worried he had brought another werewolf into the world. But besides the fear, there was also love. A single tear fell down his cheek when she handed him the baby. He couldn't have imagined a more amazing child. He tore his eyes away from Teddy for only a second, just long enough to look at Tonks and say, "It's official. We're finally a family." And they would be until the day they died.
