Hey, so this is my first fanfic, and I'm pretty nervous.

Disclaimer: I don't own Vampire Academy, it's just my crazy mind playing with its characters.

Holiday cleaning

RPOV

I know today we aren't going to practice with Dimitri. Christmas Holidays are coming up and the whole academy was decorated. The gym is no exception – and we're (Dimitri and I) going to be the ones who decorate the gym. But first, we have to clean it all up... Oh joy.

"Hey, Comrade" I said to Dimitri as I approached to him. He arched an eyebrow.

"You're actually on time." I rolled my eyes and grinned.

"Don't get used to it. Anyway, let's get to... oh, a CD player!" I know, I'm random. Deal with it. Then reality crashed down to me. "Please don't tell me we had to listen to crappy 80's music. Or 90's. There are so many good bands and singers nowadays and you just don't seem to like them.

"I like a few... but you're right, I like 80's and 90's music more." He smiled a little. "But why, what kind of music do you like? You are always teasing me with my cheesy taste in books and music, but what about you? You can tell me while we're cleaning this mess.

Suddenly I had an idea. I ran over to the CD player and put in a disc that read: Rose's music. I got it from Lissa for my 17th birthday in Portland. "What about we listen to what I like and I tell you what kind of books I like."

"O-kay?" He seemed a little scared. He-he. The CD player began to play Shakira's 'Hips don't lie'. One of my favorites. "Shakira?" He asked. "She is one of the few that I like."

"Really?" I asked, a little surprised. I never really thought that he would like something I like. Or at least in music.

"Yes, but I liked her old songs more." At that, I had to laugh. Of course. Good ole' Dimitri. Always the old ones. "And? What about books?"

"My favorites are Agatha Christie's. You know, I've always been fascinated by crimes." Though not many knew (only Lissa and maybe Christian) I am a really obsessed Agatha Christie fan. And I hoped I would get one of her novels for Christmas. A girl can dream.

"I see." He said. "I bet you one day just turn around and kill someone. Everything planned as in one of the novels."

"Watch your mouth, Comrade, cause maybe it'll be you, who's gonna be murdered." I laughed as I swept the floor. Dimitri was cleaning the dummies and he was smiling, too. A rare thing, really. The song in the CD player ended, and a new one came. 'Whenever, Wherever', also by Shakira. This time I sang along and danced a little.

While I singed and Dimitri stayed silent there was a moment of peace between us. It was like I was flying. Once I ended sweeping the floor I started to wash it up. Dimitri grabbed a mop, too and was helping me. Soon it became a silent competition between us – who can wash up more area. A giggle escaped from my lips as we tried to wash up the little space that left.

Suddenly I slipped on the slippery floor and somehow ended on the top of Dimitri. The CD player was still on, but I didn't hear much of it anymore. Like I've suddenly gone deaf. All I heard was Dimitri's breath hitching, along with mine. For a long, long time we just lay there staring into each other's eyes. Cliche or not, I could have lay there forever. Then the magic broke.

"Come on." He said. "We need to decorate the gym."

Okay, so after all, cleaning wasn't so bad.

Good? Bad? Horrible? Please let me know!

I know the end of it was really cliche, but hey! First fanfic. I am no Shakespeare. Never been, never will.
