"Any update on the exchange student from BBQ? I do hope they arrive soon, so we can start performing together!" The theater-head rest his metallic elbow against the table, eyeing the Yo-kai in front of him. On one side there was Signiton, the electrician. He was well versed in the resort, being the operator of all the machinery. Yet all he responded was a simple,
" Not yet, Kabuking!" He stumbled back from the table, and hung his head a bit " I was hoping he'd show up soon too, from what I hear he's got electricity as well! I was hoping I could teach him a bit too," His voice dropped and stammered off, and a small sparking cloud hung over his head.
The performer frowned for a moment, before his eyes moved to the next figure at the table. His neck didn't even twist as he stared down with a sudden click. "And, how about you, Mermaiden? Has he came to the springs for a soak? Most guests flock there, although I would wonder if he'd know what a hot spring is..."
The mermaid yo kai shook her head, frowning as well. " He hasn't shown up! I've asked the more regular customers to tell me if they perhaps see him. I do hope the poor thing is alright!" She sighed " I'd hate for him to get burnt in the hot water! Or offend one of the more rowdy guests and get pummeled!"
Kabuking reached out, and pat her hair with his finger. " I do not think he'd be stupid enough to fight a stranger. I, er, I HOPE not." He sighed, and ran a hand anxiously though his ponytail. " Perhaps he is just- uh- late! Yes, he is probably running late and will be here soon enough. No need to worry." He laughed slightly, gripping his own hair close.
After a few moments of awkward silence, the door to the room flung open. "Attention!" A small voice piped up "We have located your lost student." Standing in the doorway was a small pinkish yo kai, wearing a suit with overly long sleeves, and a cap. The Strangineer of the Hexpress trains.
At an instant, Kabuking bolted up, almost sending the other two flying. " Where is he?! Is he alright?! Why'd you need to leave the Hexpress?! Do tell!"
There was no response for a moment, before another Yo-kai trailed in. A metallic cat painted in two tone blue in red. It seemed to glisten like a star, all shiny and bright. The Strangineer spoke up, " He was riding the train on a loop for hours. I assumed he was just having a good time, he even ended up at lucky Bucklebreaker, but he was actually horribly lost."
There was a soft whirr of agreement from the cat. " I am not familiar with this strange, circular track. I did not know where to exit," he paused and made a noise like a wind up doll, before continuing, " I did go on a shiny train and get a souvenir. I wish to keep it as a memory of my first day." Clutched in its paws was a tiny golden doll, shining and glittering from the mechanical lights of its owner.
"Oh, you sweet thing! I am just glad you arrived. You must rest up before your lessons, and of course you can keep the doll! Come here, come here, I am glad you are safe!" Kabuking reached out, and nearly snatched the cat up in his fist. " I am sure we will have a wonderful time!"
