She glared at her, fire in her eyes and power radiating all around her. "You're my woman!"

Lockheed called a warning, his purple tail slashing through the air, a second before Illyana drew her Soul Sword. The blonde Russian twirled the glowing sword around in the air before pointing it directly at Rachel. "Maybe in your time, but not in this one!"

Kitty fought down her instinct to cringe and turned, carefully keeping herself between her lovers. She loved them both truly, and she'd never been able to choose. That was why she had been with Rachel when she'd been in her time frame, and with Illyana when she had been old enough to know her own heart. The way both slipped in and out of her life, she'd never thought this moment would come when she would have to choose, let alone have the two people she loved more than life itself fighting each other with swords, sorcery, and mutant powers.

Lockheed nervously flapped his wings above Kitty's head while the brunette kept her hands splayed out toward both of her lovers. "I'm sorry," she apologized again. "I never meant for this to happen."

"Well, it did," Rachel snapped.

"And if you can't choose," Illyana added, "we'll choose for you!" She charged around Kitty, who stepped to block her from Rachel but was not in time to stop Ray from telekinetically slamming Illyana back against the wall. "RACHEL!" she bellowed but paused from turning on the redhead when a chuckle heated her cheeks further. Her brown eyes cut at her other best friend. "You could help!" she declared heatedly.

Logan laughed again. "Ain't no way. You been askin' fer this one, darlin'. I told ya ya better choose." He popped open another can. "Now I'm just gonna sit back an' enjoy th' show."

She had no time to yell at him as she again dove between her fighting lovers.

The End
