"Look, Annabeth. Will you please be logical about this?" the oracle pleaded. "Wow. Now there's something I never thought I'd say."

Annabeth ignored the jibe.

"Well, will you at least stop staring out the window? It's not like our lovely little beach is going anywhere." The blonde turned around reluctantly, now facing Rachel and the girl's unkempt room. (Or 'artsy' according to Rachel.)

"Percy is on the other side of the country. Probably dead. Jason told us how brutal the Romans are. He's out there and has no knowledge of who he is!" Annabeth had now taken to pacing the room. "He has no knowledge of me." Rachel blinked and tried to gather her wits. She had never seen Annabeth this emotional and was slightly frightened of the possible consequences if she couldn't calm her down.

"Alright, slow down," Rachel commanded, "and sit. You're making me nervous. So, he's on the other side of the country. It's not like you're unfamiliar with the area, and neither is he. And so what if the Romans try to beat him up? Invulnerable, remember?"

"But what if Hera-?"

"He's Hera's champion and leader of Camp Half Blood. I'm pretty sure Hera wants to keep him alive."

"She's never tried before."

"True, but if something happens to him, who's next in line?"

"I guess that would be me…"

"Exactly, and Hera dislikes you as much as you do her. And after you, she'd pretty much be out of options. Except maybe Thalia, but she hates her more than she does you and would have to deal with Artemis, so at the moment it's definitely in her best interest to keep Percy alive, which means letting him keep his invulnerability, if she can even take it away in the first place. Anyways, he can't maintain the Curse of Achilles and therefore his life force without some idea of what it is that attaches him to his mortality, which would be…"

"Me." Annabeth paused. "How did you know that?"

"I'm the oracle. I have my ways." The red-head winked.

"In other words: you're not telling."

"Precisely." Rachel chuckled when she heard Annabeth mutter something about oracles, but decided that it was probably in her best interest to not prod the girl. "Now, will you please stop moping about all this-"

"But-"

"-Or at least try to calm down a bit. Percy's fine. He loves you. He's in love with you. You have nothing to worry about there. Alright?" Annabeth nodded. "Oh, and try to smile. You look like you're about to burst, and Malcolm is a nervous wreck, along with the rest of the Athena cabin."

Annabeth managed a small smile and rolled her eyes as she left the girl's room. It was nice having a 'girl friend' in her life, and Rachel Elizabeth Dare really was a force to be reckoned with, even without her blue plastic hairbrush.

A/N: Alright. I know I haven't posted in like two-ish years. So sue me. I promise I will eventually get around to finishing my other fics. This was actually written before SoN came out, so any similarities are pure coincidence. I like the idea, but I really wish I was better at drawing things out and wasn't so dialogue reliant. I may revisit this later and try to flesh it out, because it honestly feels like an outline, but I'll post for now. I have ideas for the Percabeth reunion scene (stupid Rick. Jk. I love him.) but I have no idea as to when I'll get around to writing those thoughts down.

Love and Honor.
