"Hey girls, I can't make it to dinner tonight," Sam said apologetically. "Ruby has a school thing."
"Oh that's okay, Sam. Go be with Ruby," Lena replied reassuringly. "Kara and I will go. Right Kara?"
"See you at eight," Kara said with a smile. She went home and got ready for dinner. She put on a red dress, pearls, and heels. After taking off her glasses, she left.
Meanwhile Lena was getting ready at her house. She had a blue dress on with heels. She got into her car and left for the restaurant.

She arrived, and that's when she saw her. Kara was standing there with her long blonde hair, red dress, and beautiful eyes. Lena stood there staring for a moment.
"Lena? Hello," Kara said.
"Kara! Sorry I zoned out for a second," said Lena.
"Zoned out? Lena you were practically staring at me," Kara said laughing.
"No I was. You look absolutely beautiful. I mean... you clean up well!"
"I mean you look OKAY," Kara said jokingly. "Come on Lena, let's go inside." Kara led the way inside the restaurant and got a table for two. There weren't many people inside and the candles had already been lit, as it was that time of the evening.
"I'm glad we're doing this," said Lena. "We haven't bonded in a while with the busy schedules and such, have we?"
"Not really, but I missed it," Kara said.
"Same here. I just can't stop thinking about you and Mon-El and how hard this must be for you."
"Yeah...I would prefer not to talk about it," Kara said.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up. You and I don't have exactly the best luck with guys do we," Lena asked.
"No we don't. James..."
"Jack...Kara, let's drink to better luck with love."
"To better luck with love," Kara said while raising her wine glass. She took a sip from it while smiling at Lena.

After the meal, the two went on a walk outside. Kara had her arm in Lena's. "Kara," Lena started.
"Yes?"
"Can I tell a funny story?"
"Please share!"
"Once, when I was maybe 22, I once felt like kissing my best friend after first having too much alcohol," Lena said chuckling.
"That's funny," Kara said smirking.
"I kind of forgot about it. I pushed the memory away so much that it was almost like it never happened."
"That's interesting. My sister had a similar story when she came out to me. It wasn't the alcohol, was it?"
"No.. did you ever have anything like that," Lena asked.
"Where I wanted to kiss a girl?"
"Sure, or had feelings for them."
"I...well... not that I can think of," Kara replied. "What made you remember it?"
"I...I felt it again recently," Lena said.
"With who?"
"With my...no one you know... I mean.. you. It was you."
"It was...?"
"Y-yes," Lena said nervously and red faced.
"Lena," Kara said while turning to face her. She wrapped her arms around Lena and pulled her close. She brought her lips to Lena's ear. "How long have you wanted me?"
"Since the beginning Kara. The moment I saw your beautiful face, I knew I needed you. The world can have you as Supergirl, but I need to have my Kara Danvers," Lena said while holding Kara tight. Kara brought her lips to Lena's and lightly brushed them with hers, before kissing them. She waited for Lena to kiss back, and sure enough, Lena kissed her back passionately.
"Kara," Lena said in between kisses.
"Lena.."
"Can I have you?"
"I'm yours."
"You're my hero, Kara," Lena said before kissing Kara again, her hands on Kara's back.
"It's getting late. We better," Kara started.
"I'm coming with you Kara," Lena said while smirking at her.
"Then I'm never letting you leave, Lena," Kara said. Then she took Lena's hand in hers and she flew them back to Kara's apartment.
