Well hello! This story is gonna be kinda of an experiment for me. I know of Tokyo Mew Mew, and have seen it, but it's been a while. I had a story up here, but it had no plot, and some mary sues. I'm going to try this again. I will need some mews, as I only have two and that makes a really lame team. I also need aliens because uncreative brain is uncreative.
There will be something for that at the end of this chapter.

EDIT~ Since people are wondering, this takes place in San Francisco. Which means these are Americans. I had this written earlier, and it has been brought to my attention that the location wasn't clear. I will accept mews with Japanese names. It'll all tie in later.

Riley yawned. It was a particularly early Saturday morning, and she wasn't entirely sure why she was awake, yet she was. Without thinking, she pulled out her phone to check her reminders. There was only one.

Noon: Talia's house

Riley grinned. She and Talia had been friends since first grade, when they had ultimately been placed together in an unwilling partnership. Now, they were partners in crime, figuratively speaking of course.

"Riley! Hey Riley!" Her little sister. "Can you make pancakes again?"

"Sure. You want 'em with chocolate chips or not?" She asked.

"Chocolate chips please!" Her sister bounced up and down.

Riley spent the morning hanging out with her sister, and her parents smiled. Riley was getting along better with her sister than expected.

Around noonish, she grabbed her backpack, threw on some clothes, put on her rollerskates, and headed out the door.

"Bye Mom, Dad! I'm off to Talia's!" She yelled as she skated out the door.

Once she got down the street, she pulled out her phone and sighed. Today was gonna be interesting. After all, Talia hadn't seen Riley for a few months, due to school and lessons on Talia's side. But Riley was pretty confident that things would go well. Mostly.

Talia: Hey Riley, you there?

Riley: Yep. I'm on my way to your house right now. Be there in five.

Talia: Fantastic!

Riley smiled. Yep, this was going pretty awesome. She skated across a few more streets before reaching a residential area with somewhat large houses. The house she stood in front was pretty big, much bigger than her house by far. It was pretty impressive. She was climbing cautiously up the patio steps when the ground began to tremble, and her feet slipped out from under her, causing her to hit her head on the steps. This knocked her out.

The first thing she noticed about the dream was it was incredibly peaceful. There were no other people, just a small multicolored bird.

"Hey little birdy, c'mere." She said, and it hopped over. The colors were gorgeous, a combination of yellow, orange, green, and little dashes of blue, and it looked at her inquisitively and then hopped inside of her. Riley was shocked. "What the hell just happened?"

The pacing in this first chapter is a bit wonky because I haven't written in third person in forever and It's confusing for me.
