ERIK'S POV
I kept looking at Meredith for some reason i couldn't stop looking at her, its like i was hypnotized because i just couldn't look away. She saw me looking and immediately said something and of course since i wanted to mess with her i told her something back she started blushing. She is really beautiful for some reason I'm really attracted to her. I told her how it was weird to see her mark because it was different from everyone else's mark it looked like zoey's but it was also like stevie rae ill call zoey later. We were talking for a long time, until she got off the car to get her stuff. It seemed like hours later when I heard someone yelling and right when i was getting off my car to check if Meredith was ok i heard Meredith, (and by hearing her i mean i heard her in my mind or something) it was like her emotions were all over the place and i heard her say her step dad slapped her mom and she was on the floor. When i opened the door i saw her dad bleeding on the other side of the room and his teeth were on the floor. I ran next too Meredith to pick her up but before i got to her she was holding her mom's hand and there was a glow being passed from Meredith to her mom the next thing i knew, her mom told me to take care of Meredith because she had a "Gift" she never wanted her to deal with but now she needs to control that gift and that me and her were bonded by a mate bond. Meredith's Back was already getting healed by the time i reached my car. I immediately called zoey and told her what had happened by the way she took the news she seemed to already have a good idea of what Meredith's gift was she said she would tell me when i got to the house of night.
Zoey had told me to do one thing i never thought i'd be doing i made a small cut on my wrist and made Meredith drink it. She then fell asleep again,when i got to the house of night zoey was waiting with stark and stevie rae they had someone take her to the clinic that was inside the house of night and they treated her right away i really wanted to go with Meredith but i knew by the look on Zoey's face i had to talk with her. When i finished talking with zoey she told me why Meredith was so special and why i apparently have a mate bond with her. I am going to tell her about her "gift" and how me and her are bonded, while i was waiting for her to wake up i kinda fell asleep. I heard Meredith's voice in my head again and immediately woke up she had said " wow prince erik is holding my hand i feel like a princess lol I'm so cheesy around him" it made me laugh in a good kind of way. Stevie rae finally came in and kept staring at meredith like a creep honestly, she told Meredith about the meeting we were going to have after i tell her about her "gift" she also asks if she wanted to change her name and i felt Meredith's wave of emotions somehow (again its because of the bond when Zoey talked to me she explained everything). She looked at me and said her new name was Ariel Darling i couldn't help but smile as to how beautiful she looked blushing at me.
