"What are you doing here … Naruto?"
There was Sasuke standing at the top of the crater eyes boring into the one he once called his lover.
"I came to take you back home with me Sasuke." Naruto looked him straight in those cold, glassy eyes not looking away even for a second.
"Huh." Sasuke sighed growing annoyed at his rival's stubbornness. "How many times do I have to tell you? I left the village to obtain my revenge. I'm done with you and all the others. Just go home."
That was enough to set Naruto off. How could Sasuke act like nothing ever happen between them, like there was no love ever?
"So you mean to tell me that all the times we spent together were just out of complete boredom. That I was just a toy you used when you got lonely Naruto's voice began to rise.
"I just don't believe that you could tell me you loved me, leave me for revenge and say that you're done with me."
His voice grew into a low sad whisper. Just as he was about to continue the figure moved from the top of the top of the mound to standing right in front of him arm over Naruto's right shoulder. Sasuke moved closer to Naruto's ear.
"I didn't forget anything Naruto. It's always like you to take words out of my mouth and turn them around. I'm only telling you that you're too late. I'll get my revenge and…" Naruto cut him off finishing his sentence.
"And Orochimaru will take your body and use it for ungodly reasons."
"I could care less what Orochimaru does to me, just as long as I get my revenge."
"You can cover it up as much as you want to Sasuke but that's really only telling me that you love your revenge more than you will ever love me. That even if you told me you still loved me there would be no way to prove it to me." They sat there for a few minutes in silence.
"Naruto… I still love you." And right there Sasuke pulled Naruto in for a deep and passionate kiss leaving him breathless. In the next second he was gone leaving his lover to register what had just happened.
"Are you okay Naruto?" Kakashi ask from behind him.
"He still loves me but not as much as he loves his revenge."
"It's alright Naruto will bring him back one day. Sakura told him reassuringly. Naruto had wished that were true.
But we wouldn't bring him back. Naruto thought sadly. Because like Sasuke said himself it was too late. Love couldn't stop him from wanting what he desired most Revenge.
