Aaron looked out his office window and thought about the woman he wanted to be with. He wanted to hold her in his arms all night long. Most people think that when a man says that, that they are talking about sex but that is not the case at all. Yes, he would love to make love with Emily but that is not all he wanted from her.
He felt as if he was going under with all the feelings he was feeling. He felt as if he was snowed under with all these feelings and he just couldn't hold back any longer. He needed to tell her and he needed to tell her now before he lost all the courage he has built up in the last five months.
He saw that she was getting ready to leave for the day so he walked over to his office door and said "Emily may I see you in my office for a minute before you leave please?"
Emily sighed and looked at her watch. She didn't have long but she would see what he needed to talk to her about. She really wished she did not even have to go tonight but she had told her Mom she would. She hated going to Political functions. She sighed once more and then walked up to Aaron's office.
"Yes, Aaron what do you need? I only have a few minutes and I need to go. I have something I have to do tonight." Emily said. She really wished that he could go with her but she was to chicken to ask him.
Aaron frowned and wondered if the something she had to do tonight was a date. He almost backed out of telling her then in there but he said the hell with it. He was not going to be a chicken any longer.
"I will try not to keep you too long Emily. I just wanted to tell you that I love you. I almost told you that I loved you on several occasions but I always chickened out before I would actually say to you what I wanted to say. Today as I was watching you I finally got the rest of my courage to tell you how I felt. You do not have to say anything back but I just wanted you to know why I have been pairing you more and more with me when we are on cases. I wanted to make sure that you were safe. I trust Dave, Morgan and Reid with you but I always felt better when I had you with me." Aaron said. He rushed to say it all so he stood there panting for breath as he waited on Emily's response back to him.
Emily's eyes blinked and then blinked again. She was not sure if she just heard what she thought she did come out of Aaron's mouth or if she was dreaming.
Emily cleared her throat and said "Could you repeat that please Aaron?"
Aaron laughed and said "Do I have to repeat all of it? Or can I just repeated that I love you and that I am in love with you?"
Emily shook her head and said "I must be dreaming. I know that I am dreaming because there is no way that you could be in love with me like I am with you."
That was all it took for Aaron and then he was striding to Emily and pulling her into his arms and right before he kissed her he said "Now that I found You I'm never letting you go."
