"You're going to dance it with me dude."
As Finn backed away from the table, Kurt shook his head. No, he had just…they….he had JUST barely gotten over Finn. Why was he doing this now?
Finn grinned at him as the male glee members joined him on the hardwood floor, and Kurt kept shaking his head. Please no. And yet Finn's soft, husky voice filled the venue anyway.
Kurt's heart fluttered wildly in his chest.
When I see your face,
Finn was singing to him.
Singing. To him. In public.
There's not a thing that I would change.
Alright well it was their parents' wedding. And he was singing to Carole and Rachel too. But still it was in front of people. People they knew nevertheless.
He could barely contain himself in his chair. And when Finn strode over to him smoothly and put out his hand, Kurt couldn't help but take it.
It was a dream come true, gliding around the hardwood floor as Finn and he danced. He had dreamed of it far too many times by now. Though Finn was usually singing She's No You. True Jesse McCartney wasn't exactly Kurt's favorite singer but the song was lovely.
Even under their suits Kurt could feel the warmth of Finn's skin. His hands holding his. His lips moving as he sang.
You're amazing…
He closed his eyes and let himself fall.
Shit.
The music had stopped. The patter of steps on the floor had stopped. Finn stopped singing due to the lips against his.
Kurt's lips.
Kurt shot up in bed, panting softly. Looking around his Dior Gray bedroom, he let out a deep sigh.
"Dude you okay?" He looked over to see Finn on his side of the room, looking over from his bed. Kurt nodded. "Yeah, fine." He ran a hand through his hair, lying back down.
"Finn?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't call me dude."
Just the way you are.
