Friends whispered that they were trying to populate the world with an army of Weasleys. Others gossiped that they had no sense with a house full children and barely any gold between them. But for Arthur and Molly Weasley, well they were at the end of their rope.

Understand this, Molly Weasley loved her boys but she never wanted to bring children into the world when there was so much danger and turmoil. That is why, when she and Arthur were married shortly after leaving Hogwarts, they used a contraceptive potion - as directed. But then along came Bill and shortly after Charlie. They switched contraceptives then, but then came Percy. They went to a Muggle fertility specialist only to hear that they were both extremely fertile. They tried the Muggle contraceptive only to wind up with twin boys, Fred and George.

So they took out an ad in the Daily Prophet, hoping to find a Potions Master interested in taking on their unique situation. Meanwhile, they continued on using every method they could possibly think of – until they had Ron that is.

Molly and Arthur were understandably desperate; especially once Molly noticed the familiar signs. They were expecting their seventh child. Molly only hoped that their string of boys would be disrupted by a little girl. And finally an owl came bearing a response to their long forgotten ad. The reply that she sent back was likely larger than the Potion Master expected.

Ronald was a year old and toddling after his brothers who ran circles around him. Molly called out to her youngest boy.

"Ronald"

"Mummy!"

She cuddled her boy close to her and managed to take a deep breath before she heard a loud wail. Ronald looked surprised and holding back a giggle she gathered him up in her arms and carried him up to the second floor. The wails were louder here, and emanating from a small, red, baby girl.

"Gin!"

"That's right, Ronniekins, that's your sister Ginny."

Putting Ronald down on the floor, she changed Ginny's nappy and had quieted the girl until someone hollered.

"Mum! There's an owl!"

"An owl! Mum!"

"He's got something! Mum!"

Grabbing both babes she made her way down to the kitchen where the older boys had swarmed a rather panicked looking owl holding onto a small package. She handed Ronald off to her nearest son, a bedraggled Percy who looked a little green. She took a second glance at Percy, he was actually colored green and purple, no doubt the twins doing. Molly flicked her wand at Percy, and handed Ginny to Bill before reaching toward the owl. Removing the package from the owl, it took that moment to fly off and back out the window it entered.

"Mum! What is it?"

"Hush, Charlie, let me read it first."

"Mum!"

"Mummy said hush!"

Molly could hardly believe the words.

Mrs. Weasley,

Enclosed you will find a contraceptive potion. The contraceptive potion commonly used by witches has a 30% efficacy rate. Most Muggle methods, when used correctly, are more effective. I gather from the rather large missive you sent me, that you were mostly aware of this. The contraceptive potion included here is an improvement of existing ones and should provide you with a 100% efficacy rate. Please be sure to use it as directed. I have also included for you the recipe, as I will not be supplying you with a life long supply.

Good day.

Molly could hardly believe it. Their seventh would be their last.

"Mummy!"

Hopefully the children would go to sleep quickly tonight so that she and Arthur could try it out.
