This is my first songfic, and the song is 'Holding out for a Hero', by Bonnie Tyler. Elz xx

Hero

Samantha Nixon sat at her desk, typing up a report for a case she'd been working on. She tried to keep her thoughts on the job, but they kept straying, It had been 6 months since she had had a boyfriend and it was starting to annoy her. Obviously it was her own fault. She'd dumped Phil, but it still depressed her.

Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?

He had been her knight in shining armour, and she'd pushed him away. Why? She kept asking herself. She looked across to where he was making coffee. Her heart flipped. She'd never felt like this before. She needed him.

Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream
of what I need

She remembered that song by Bonnie Tyler- 'Holding out for a hero'. That was her, but her hero was there. Her hero was Phil. He was strong. He was usually fresh from a fight and he was definitely larger than life. She called him over to her, and noticed his eyes light up when she smiled at him.

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life

'Follow me' She said. Phil followed her, checking her out as he did so. She led him into a nearby empty room. 'Sit.' She ordered. He sat, and she walked over to him. Her heart beating faster.

Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach
There's someone reaching back for me
Racing on the thunder end rising with the heat
It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet

She pulled his end up to look into his deep, dark eyes. She leant forward. He took in her jasmine scent, feeling hot and weak having her so close to him after so long. He felt he was dreaming. She brushed her lips against his. Kissing him gently. Then with more passion.

Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I would swear that there's someone somewhere
Watching me

Through the wind end the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
I can feel his approach
Like the fire in my blood

This was exactly what she needed. Phil was exactly what she needed. Phil was her hero. The one she had been holding out for and now he was all hers. With that she started to unbutton his clothes and they gave into the throws of passion.

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
