I do not own anything from Whedon. I only own Ella and I am sad. Ella's perspective is being told in this story.

One doesn't like being told how to live. However, when you are thrust into a world because of a selfish, arrogant vampire, what choice do you have? My name is Ella and I have sadly been a vampire for over 100 years.

I was turned in 1879 to my great horror. The arrogant vampire who turned me was none other than the Scourge of Europe and he did it without mercy. As much as I wish to blame him, I cannot. I followed him into that alley and it is my own fault.

I am usually enslaved to Angelus whenever he is around and when I saw him in Sunnydale today, I almost killed him. I wondered what he was doing here at the Bronze, but then I saw a blond girl with him. He found a new squeeze, it seemed to me at least and Spike was nowhere to be found. I was puzzled by this and decided to investigate.

"Angel, look, I…" The blond cut herself off and stared directly at me. I didn't understand what was wrong until I heard Angelus.

"Look, don't go Slayer on her." He said. She was the Slayer? I thought the Slayer had died? What happened?

"She's a vampire, Angel."

"Yeah, my childe. Well, Angelus's childe." Angel answered. I saw his eyes flash to me.

It was Angelus alright and the Slayer didn't know it yet. I backed away into a corner as the Slayer, her friends (Slayers have friends?), and Angelus walked up to me.

"Leave me alone, Angelus. I did nothing to warrant death." I said. "You turned me into a monster."

"His name is Angel." The blond said to me.

"The Scourge of Europe, Angelus is standing before me. Not this 'Angel' that you speak of. I know Angelus anywhere. After all, I had no choice but to serve him." I was waiting for him to reveal himself.

"Ella, I am Angelus to you, but I have a soul now."

"Liar!" I lunged for him, but he held me in his arms.

"I will punish you later, dear Ella. How kind of you to find me so you may continue serving your lord and master." Angelus purred into my ear.

"Leave me be!" I screamed, heading for the door.

Angelus followed me alone. Apparently, he had convinced the Slayer to stay away from his property. He grabbed my arms and threw me into the brick wall next to the dumpster in the alley.

"Ella! I am surprised to see you in Sunnydale. I want you to listen well, bitch! You will not tell them that I am myself. Yes, Ella, the Scourge has rid himself of his soul and will rule this land with you at my feet, where you belong." Angelus took me into his arms and caressed me.

"Where's Darla? Spike? Dru?" I asked, whispering.

"The Slayer killed Darla. As for Spike and Dru? I have no idea." Angelus kissed me and I fought against it, but it was useless as far as attempts go.

"Don't fight it!" He whispered with force. "I want you to go back to the way things were, do you remember?"

Boy, did I ever remember what 'the way things were' was. "I remember." I was his sexual pleasure and his slave in all things. I would be beaten when he was angry, caressed when he was happy, and screwed when he was full of lust. I remembered vividly and I had to stay sharp if I would escape Angelus like I did last time.
