My first Hetalia/yaoi fic ever! I hope ya'll enjoy. Set to the peppy version of "I need a Hero", like the one featured in Shrek. This is just the best song for these two ever! Please read and review! Pointers and suggestions are more then welcomed! Enjoy!
Arthur poked his head around the corner to peer into the big conference room. He was making sure it was completely empty, he was a bit early for a world conference but he had planned it that way. He walked in and closed the door quietly. He dug into his pocket and pulled out the tangled mess that was his head phones. After spending a few irritating moments untangling them, he then pulled out his Ipod. He placed the ear buds in his ears, looked around one last time and pressed the play button. He threw his hands into the air and swung his hip to the right.
"I need a hero! I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night! He's gotta be fast and he's gotta be fresh from the fight!" Arthur sang out to empty room. He danced around, hopping up on chairs and even the table. He was concentrating hard on the beat, trying to get his hips to move to it even thought he was quite rhythmically challenged.
"Jolly good Arthur ol' boy, left; right; left left, right right!" He mumbled to himself smiling. He had the feeling he looked like a fish out of water, but for now that didn't matter. He just wanted to sing and dance his heart out. He wave his arms from side to side.
"I need a hero! I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light! He's gotta be sure and it's gotta be soon and he's gotta be larger than life!" he called out little louder then he intended. Suddenly, over his loud music, he heard the door open and he spun around. He froze, his hands still high in the air. The blood rushed up to his face, he felt it growing hotter than it had ever been. There was Alfred, leaning against the door frame, a big grin plastered onto his face.
"Amer…Alfr…What the bloody hell!" Arthur yelled at him fumbling with his Ipod trying to turn it off. Alfred walked calmly over and plucked one of the buds out of his ear, placing in his own. He wrapped his arms around Arthur's waist and pulled him close so that their hips where pressed together. Arthur didn't think it was possible but his cheeks grew hotter, in fact his whole face felt like it was on fire. It was made worse when Alfred put his hand on Arthur's chin and brought it close up to his own face.
"You need a hero, huh?" He whispered into Arthur's free ear. Arthur grabbed Alfred's jacket, gripping it tightly and looked up at his blue eyes that were shining in the afternoon sun filtering in through the windows.
"It's just a song you know, it by no means reflects any of my feelings." He said sheepishly grinning. Alfred laughed softly.
"Come on Arthur, don't lie to me. I'm just the hero you're looking for, I'm sure and I'm larger than life and always fresh from a fight." He said gently. He kissed Arthur's forehead lightly and suddenly Arthur threw his hands around Alfred's shoulders and pressed his lips against his. Alfred kissed him back and pushed him against the table. Arthur lost himself for a moment it how wonderfully warm and soft Alfred's lips were. He felt Alfred's tongue slide into his mouth and he couldn't help but return the action. Finally, Alfred pulled away and reached up to trace his finger along Arthur's face. He shivered with excitement and longing.
"Alfred, I absolutely need you to be my hero. I love you!" Arthur said almost yelling. Alfred let out a loud laugh this time and winked at him.
"I know dude, I love you too!" he exclaimed leaning in to steal another kiss before the other countries showed up for the conference.
