Did it Hurt? a love poem.
Dear Ray,
Did it hurt?
When you fell to the ground, and fell to the dirt?
Because now I see, my love,
that you came from the heavens above.
Answer me this.
When we had our first kiss.
Did you enjoy it?
Neither you nor I quit.
How forever-lasting it seemed;
I felt then that you were beamed,
from the skies above.
Let me ask you, my love:
Did it hurt?
You looked like a shimmering bell,
as if you were an angel.
With a halo floating above your head.
Wings that were colorful, yellow, blue, and even red.
You were wearing a long, silky robe that was pure white.
There was a glow, an unworldly light.
I knew we were meant to be, just then and there!
We would be the perfect pair!
Your raven hair, your golden eyes.
We'd never break rules, we'd never tell lies.
And then you fell,
so please, please tell!
Did it hurt?
Love,
Tasha.
