I had an idea because a few episodes ago FP had mentioned he and Jug were sleeping on a couch so Betty could have the bed while she was living with them. This is a one shot that turned out pretty good.

It was the night Betty had asked Jughead to stay at his house. Jughead immediately understood, as well as FP. After a sort of awkward trip to Pop's, they ate their burgers in silence. FP tried to be as supportive as he could of the young couple, thinking that they already have to go through enough. After he started pulling out the pullout couch for himself and Jughead, Betty insisted that she would be fine on the floor.

"I'm not letting no lady like you sleep on this floor." FP said, shutting her down. He gave a look to Jughead, and Jug started making the only bed in the house for Betty. Betty seemed defeated, and started to clean up the diner feast they had just ate.

'Good one.' FP thought.

It had to be midnight that night. Jug had gotten up 'to get a drink of water' but his father knew better. Foresight found the teen peeking into the bedroom, at a soundly-asleep Betty. FP knew that Jug wasn't being creepy, he was being protective. FP once did that long ago to a girl as well.

"How's she doing?" FP asked. Jug jumped and turned around. FP gave a chuckle.

"Dad!" He whispered, and put a finger to his lips. He peeked back inside and closed the door quietly. "She's sleeping pretty well."

"Good, good." He replied. The Jones guys looked at each other in silence for a moment. "So. This is it, isn't it? This is the one." Jug blushed.

"I don't know…. But I think so." His father smiled and walked closer to him.

"Good." He punched his arm, and the boys went back to the pullout couch.

Hopefully you liked it. Thanks!
