Jackie stood frozen in the doorway of the office not daring to turn around, her ears and brain still trying to take in what he'd just said.

Moments before Robbie and her had been shouting at each other, saying every name under the sun, until, in the end Jackie could take no more; she'd grabbed her scarf from the back of her chair, her coat from the hook and stormed towards the door. Now here she was frozen like an ice block, unable to move or breathe- all because he'd uttered those 3 little words.

I Love You

The three most important words that Jackie had longed to hear from him for oh so long, never thinking that she would- certainly not from Robbie Ross- and now that she had heard them, she didn't believe a single word.

Churning all the thoughts and feelings she had towards him and throwing her scarf and coat aside, Jackie turned to Robbie and charged at him; the anger and frustration building the closer she got.

Robbie watched her, his eyes wide open in shock -and, if he was being totally honest, fear- as Jackie came charging in his direction.

"How dare you say that to me. How dare you!", she screamed as she went to slap him.

"Jackie please, listen to me-", Robbie begged, jumping up from his seat whilst bringing his hands up and catching her arm.

"No Robbie I won't. I don't want to hear your lies. Certainly not when they involve me", Jackie responded bringing her arms down, her voice cracking as the tears gradually started to form in her eyes.

Robbie pulled Jackie towards him, "I wasn't lying when I said that", he whispered into her ear, before placing a small and gentle kiss on her neck.

She looked up at him, her eyes still flowing. "But why then?"

Robbie sighed as he looked down at Jackie. "Because as I watched you walk towards the door, after all that shouting and name calling I'd done to you, I had the most horrid feeling that I'd lost the only woman I've ever truly loved and that I'd damaged a friendship thats taken 10 years to build. Thats why."

There was silence for a while.

"Jackie......say something?", pleaded Robbie.

Jackie raised her head and gave a huge smile, "I Love You Robbie"
