"Kay, Mom, are you ready to go?" Misaki Suzuhara called.
"Uh, s-sure hon-honey, I'm ready," Shuuko replied.
"Yay! I can't wait then!" exclaimed Misaki.
Misaki and her mother, Shuuko, were going to the training center to get some training done for Angelic Layer. Misaki always looked forward to these training sessions, where she would practice Angelic Layer with her mother. Unknown to Misaki, though, Shuuko was also using this time to practice being with her daughter, for Shuuko's biggest weakness was being shy around those she loved. Shouko, Misaki's aunt and Shuuko's sister, had suggested to her that she practice with Misaki to get used to being with her.
"Ready Mom?"
"Y-yes hon!"
Misaki left the house excitedly with her mother to the training center. When they got there, the attendant at the front desk bowed and gave them their room key. They gladly paid and got to their room. Misaki took out Hikaru, her angel. Shuuko brought out Athena, which was her angel, infamously known as the Goddess of the Layer. Misaki and Shuuko placed their visors on and turned them on.
"Okay, ready Misaki?"
"Sure thing, Mom!"
"Let's begin, then, with some blocking exercises," commanded Shuuko, as she made a few kicks towards Hikaru. Hikaru blocked them with ease. "Good, now let's move on to some harder kicks, and then I'll teach you some punches."

"Good job, Misaki," Shuuko complimented when their training time was up. "But I recommend that you work on that punch of yours a bit harder."
"Next time, Mom, I will, okay?"
"O-okay."
Misaki and Shuuko walked to the Ice Cream Parlor and ordered some sundaes. As they ate their sundaes, Shuuko recommended some more strategic tips to Misaki. When they finished their sundaes, they walked home.
