Iain glared up at the ceiling, having been forced to listen to the incessant thumping coming from whoever lived above him and groaned. Whoever they were, they had far too much energy and it was driving Iain mad. One more bang from them and he was going to –

THUD

"Right, that's it." He grumbled, pushing his keys into his pocket and storming out the door. Arriving outside the noisy neighbour's door, he knocked hard on it hoping they would hear him over the racket of whatever they were doing. The noise abruptly stopped and the slightly dishevelled neighbour appeared in the doorway. Iain's expression unintentionally softened slightly as he momentarily forgot what it was he even came here for.

"Yeah?" Iain blinked slowly, before returning back to planet Earth.

"Oh, yeah. I'm Iain from downstairs, and you are making a right bloody racket. What are you even doing?"

"I'm trying to get better at Just Dance. Anyway, I know you, I thought your name was -"

"Yeah, well, it hasn't legally been changed yet." Iain muttered. "Just, try to be less...stompy."

"I'm Lofty by the way! Well, that's what my friends call me. Do you want to play with me? I have a spare Wii-remote."

"Er...I came here to yell at you for being to loud." Iain peered past Lofty to see the Just Dance pause screen, and looked back at his neighbour. "Fine." You're way too cute for me to just ignore.

They played for a long time, and they bumped into each other regularly as they did. As Iain participated in part of the stomping that had driven Iain to come knocking in the first place, he thought about 'Lofty' and in between songs took a quick glance around their room. There were a couple of photos of what appeared to be Lofty and some friends having fun. He spotted a blue, pink and white flag stuck to Lofty's laptop and smiled to himself.

"What are you grinning at?" Lofty asked, trying to follow Iain's line of sight. Iain looked back at Lofty.

"Ah, nothin' really." He responded, gesturing to the screen as a new song started up. While they danced (badly), Lofty breathlessly suggested that they hang out like proper neighbours, to which Iain agreed, before the song dramatically ended.
