They walked down the hall together, hand in hand. She looked into his eyes; oh how much she loved him. She loved how his blue eyes danced underneath the dimly lit hall lights. She admired how his blond hair fell so neatly across his head. He was just so perfect.

They had arrived at her class. "Katrina, we're at your class." he silently whispered. She adored how he'd never talked loudly around her.

Katrina wanted to kiss him, but most of her class was already there. With one last glance at him, she let go.

When she walked in, no one really noticed her - As always. But something didn't feel right. She felt eyes on her shoulder, like someone was actually watching her…

She turned around. It was Jenny, another social outcast like her. She wore a look of jealousy, as if she was jealous of her for having such a cute boyfriend. Peter was part of the "in" crowd. He had hung out with the jocks most of the time before they dated. Most people were quite surprised that someone like him would go for her; an outcast but they didn't pay it any attention. She was used to the popular girls staring at her, but not someone like Jenny. It felt awkward to be noticed that way.

By the time she got outside, Peter was sitting on the school rock waiting for her, surrounded by the popular girls. As Katrina looked more closely though, she saw someone else; Jenny. 'Strange' she though before giving it no further attention and walking forward.

-After school-

As they walked away from school, she asked him, "Why do you love me?"

"Because you're different and I like different," he replied before kissing her. Oh she loved him more and more.

-The next day-

She was sick. It was horrible. Not only did she miss a day of school, she also didn't get to see Peter for a whole day. A whole day! She was almost crying when the bus turned onto Rockdale Boulevard and in front of the bus stood Rockdale High School. She burst off the bus, only to see Peter talking to Jenny.

It's okay, Katrina, it's okay. She thought. She slowly made her way closer only to see Jenny kiss Peter on the cheek.

Oh my God! She was freaking out. How could she! She felt all the blood rushing to her brain. She was furious.

She didn't know what happened. She didn't know that she had reached into her pocket for her pocket-knife she kept for emergencies. She didn't even know when she approached Jenny. She only remembered seeing her crumble to the ground.

For a second, she breathed a sigh of relief. She had just gotten rid of her competition. She turned towards Peter, ready for him to give her a kiss, when…

He was gone. Where did he go? She turned all over. She saw a rush of blond hair heading out to the road. She recognized it as Peter.

"Peter!" she cried. She chased after him.

She watched as he burst onto Rockdale Boulevard. She watched as a truck came tumbling down the street. She watched as the truck didn't even slow down…

Peter went under.
