"Give it up, Caitlyn! Everyone knows you're lying," Kelly Jones scoffed.

"Actually Kelly, I'm not lying. Besides I don't care what you think…" Caitlyn muttered, attempting to escape Kelly and her posse.

"Please, why would Nate Green ever want to date you?!"

Caitlyn rolled her eyes. This seemed to be a daily routine. Kelly would walk past Caitlyn who was texting someone and would look at her messages. Kelly was convinced that Caitlyn was making up these messages and since Nate rarely called Caitlyn during the day due to his busy schedule Caitlyn had no proof.

"I don't need to prove anything to you, Kelly. I know Nate loves me and that's the only proof I need," Caitlyn said pushing past Kelly.

"What a freak," Kelly laughed. "You're so delusional…"

"You don't know what you're talking about! Leave me the hell alone!"

Caitlyn rushed off down the hall tears leaking from her eyes as she entered the girl's bathroom and locked herself in one of the furthest stalls. She pulled her phone from her pocket and chose Nate's name from her contact list.

"Hullo?"

Caitlyn gave a watery smile at the sound of Nate's groggy voice.

"Nate?" she cried into the phone with a fresh set of tears.

"Caity?" Nate was fully alert now. "Caity, sweety what's wrong?"

"Nothing… everything… God, Nate I hate Kelly so much…" Caitlyn sobbed.

"Caity, I'm sorry. This is all my fault…"

"Don't be stupid," Caitlyn sighed. "Did I wake you?"

"Yeah, but I should be awake anyways… I have a lot of work to do."

"I miss you" Caitlyn whispered.

"I miss you too, Caity. As soon as this tours over, believe me, I'll be there as soon as I can." Nate promised solemnly.

"Okay. I have to go to class… I love you," Caitlyn whispered.

"Okay, I love you sweetie."

At the end of the day Caitlyn sat on the front steps of her school waiting for her brother to pick her up to head home.

"Look who it is! Talk to Nate lately?" Kelly taunted as she stood in front of Caitlyn, towering over her sitting form.

"Fuck off, Kelly…" Caitlyn mumbled not looking up from her phone.

Before Kelly could respond a couple of senior boys created a commotion pointing out an amazing vintage mustang that had just pulled into the school parking lot.

Caitlyn's heartbeat raced as she ran towards the crowd surround the car. As she reached the crowd she looked around for mop of curls she loved. Her stomach dropped as she began to second-guess herself. Maybe this wasn't Nate's car after all…

"Hey, Caity."

Caitlyn spun around. "NATE!" she screamed jumping on her boyfriend. "What are you doing here?" she asked with her arms wrapped around Nate's neck and his hands settled on her hips.

"Just visiting… a friend…"

Caitlyn smiled devilishly, "Well I need you to meet someone! Hey Kelly!" Caitlyn called over the murmur of the crowd admiring Nate's car.

"You forgot something, baby..." Nate whispered in her ear kissing her at the same moment as Catherine turned around.

Caitlyn wrapped her arms around Nate's neck as he lifted her onto the hood of his car. As Caitlyn kissed Nate fiercely she heard a throaty shriek and the fast clicking of heels. Caitlyn smiled into the kiss.
