Shadow

Rolling his eyes, Harry slumped against the wall behind him, watching in half-amusement as Yusuke and Kuwabara began arguing with each other, their argument slowly turning into a fist fight. Sighing, Harry rubbed his forehead with his sleeve, moving into the shadow the wall created in an attempt to get away from the summer heat.

"Fuck, it's too damn hot,"Harry sighed, wincing at the glare the sun created before turning to his two friends.

"Idiots! You can make-out later, I wanna get to the lake before I melt my ass off," Harry stated, grinning at Kurama's amused smile and Yusuke and Kuwabara's twin looks of outrage and embarrassment at his statement.

Wincing as the sun once again assaulted him as he steeped out of the safety of his shadow, Harry paused at the sight of his lover, who was currently dressed in his usual all black, trench coat and a scarf added, looking completely un-bothered by the over one hundred degree weather.

"That is so not fair!"

Harry groaned, glaring at Hiei enviously, who in turn smirked, moving forward to walk next to mate.

"How the hell can you stand to wear all that in this heat!?!"

Kuwabara, who had recently caught up with the trio along with Yusuke, demanded. Rolling his eyes at the orange haired man, Yusuke smacked him over the head.

"Idiot, he's a fire demon, remember?"

Yusuke snickered, smirking when Kuwabara glared at him, trying to return his hit. Soon enough the two were racing down to the now visible lake.

Watching his friends, Harry grinned, moving to join them in the lake before he found himself shoved in, courtesy of a smirking Hiei. Noticing Kurama laughing at his expense, Harry quickly yanked the red head in, smirking in return when Kurama spluttered.

It was moments like this, Harry thanked his aunt for abandoning him in Japan for their vacation that year. It was the best 'mistake' of his life.
