I am so sorry for the hiatus. My iPod broke, my WiFi was shut off, and I have a limited time at my college to write. I am rebooting the Denied Chunin Exams. It is awful and I have improved my writing since then. Without adieu, I shall rejump the plot. I am NOT using Japanese Honorifics! No Japanese shall be uttered unless it's the name of a character. Even jutsus shall be in (American) English.
Disclaimer: I do NOT own Naruto.
"Hold it back until Lord Fourth arrives!" A panicked shinobi yelled to another. The scene was chaotic. Dead bodies littered the streets and blood oozed out of those too injured to fight. What was once someone 's home was destroyed, leaving families homeless. Hiruzen sighed. "What happened to Kushina's seal? Biwako and Taji were supposed to prevent this from happening." That's when he received Minato's letter, causing tears to cascade down his wrinkled face. 'No...' He was heartbroken. His wife was dead. Upon that notice, he switched from his Hokage robes to his shinobi attire. He wasn't going let the Fox destroy his home without a fight.
"Waahh! Waaahhh!" A baby wailed. It was afraid. "Shhhh, my little Naru. Mommy's here, and she will always protect you." Kushina chided her weeping child. The truth was, she didn't know how much time she had left. Madara had forcibly extracted the Nine Tailed Fox from her. It was surprising that she even had the strength to be alive, much less holding a weeping infant.
Kushina hummed softly to her baby. The child opened its startling blue eyes and gazed at the face that was completely unknown to it. Kushina gave her a warm, motherly smile. Minato and Kushina had been blessed with a baby girl, instead of a boy much to his chagrin. When she looked into Naruto's curious eyes, the child immediately bonded with the new mother. "Naruto, your father and I love you very much. Whatever happens to us, it isn't your fault." Kushina kissed Naruto's forehead and gently rocked the newborn to sleep. She would need it.
Minato cursed himself for being so careless. It was his fault that Madara got his hands on Kushina. He managed to break the curse that he put on the giant Fox. Now it was time for the hard part; sealing the beast in his newborn daughter. As unfortunate as that sounded, Minato was running short on time and chakra to continue fighting a useless battle. 'God, please forgive me for what I am about to do.' In a flash of yellow, Minatodisappeared from the battlefield.
Twelve Years Later:
"You little brat! Wait until your father hears about this!" An angry villager quipped. A young, blonde girl laughed mischievously at the prank. She had decided to deface the Hokage Monument on a whim. A redheaded woman balled her fists up in anger at the juvenile display of graffiti. "NARUTO UZUMAKI-NAMIKAZE! YOU GET DOWN FROM THERE RIGHT THIS MINUTE!" Anyone who passed would have laughed at the look of horror on the blonde girl's face.
"Oh crap! It's Mom! I am so screwed!" Naruto panicked. She quickly finished up her masterpiece and fled. An angry Kushina Uzumaki was like a death wish. Naruto didn't want to stay to see her mother kill her.
As soon as she tried to escape, Kushina caught up to her. "Nice try, little lady. You aren't going anywhere." Naruto gulped. She was screwed.
Minato sighed in agitation. He really didn't have the time to correct his daughter's mistake. Kushina held Naruto in a headlock as a way to prevent her escape. Minato shifted his eyes between the two women and sighed again. "Naruto, what were you trying to do?" Kushina let the knuckleheaded girl go. Naruto huffed indignantly, a smirk gracing her delicate features. "Well Dad, I was wanting to redecorate the Hokage Monument to make it look more colorful." Kushina interrupted by saying, "By disgracing our founder and his successors?!"
"Kushina, calm down."
"Why should I?! She needs to be punished!"
"She will. She has to clean the monument and she is grounded for two weeks."
"WHAT?!" Naruto yelled. Kushina slapped the her in the back of the head for being too loud. Minato massaged his throbbing temples. A bad headache was forming. "Naruto, you have your orders. Go clean the Monument." Kushina watched Naruto as she left. Kushina kissed her husband on the cheek, causing him blush. Even after being married for fourteen years Minato still acted like a teenager.
"What are we going to do with her?"
Naruto grumbled as Iruka watched her clean the stone. Iruka almost felt bad for her. Almost. "Hey, when you are done, how about some ramen? My treat!" Naruto sighed. "No can do. Dad grounded me." Iruka nodded in understanding. "I'll sneak you some later, then." He winked. Naruto smiled.
As the next day came, Naruto gave herself a pep talk. 'Today is the day! I finally graduate from the Academy.' Yet Naruto stayed nervous. Even though her father was the Hokage, Naruto felt as if she would fail. She was planning on using her new jutsu, but decided against it. Her mother's wrath was much scarier. She loved her parents to death, but ever since they told her that she was a Jinchûriki, Naruto felt resentment for herself. No one gave her any disgusting looks (except for defacing the Monument), or any He'll for being a container, but Naruto felt different.
The Third Hokage died sealing the demon inside her. Kushina longevity and strength saved her from certain death. She was thankful for that. She really was. Upon entering the front doors, Naruto located her classroom and sat down beside Hinata. Hinata was a very timid person, Naruto knew. She protected her from bullies, and in turn, Hinata became her sparring partner. The two were inseparable.
"Hello, Hinata! How was your night?" Hinata gave a soft smile to her best friend. "Good. H-How about you?" Naruto grimaced. "Grounded." Hinata laughed at the blonde teen. Naruto gave Hinata a playful glare. "I'm glad that you think it's funny, but Mom will be UNBEARABLE!"
Iruka came in and took role. "Naruto Namikaze." Naruto raised her hand.
"Sasuke Uchiha."
"Hn."
Naruto ignored the names until the end of role call. "Alright. The Hokage is visiting today to see his daughter graduate from the Academy. Be respectful." Naruto smirked, which caused Hinata to shuffle nervously. 'Th-This isn't going to go well...'
Well, the chapters will get longer in length. Right now, it is raining real bad where I am at, and I'm about to have an anxiety attack. I think this will be a great starting point. Read, review and follow/favorite. Till tomorrow.
