Happy Birthday!
by Starsinger
My brain working overtime. Still don't own them.
Two pairs of eyes peered over the side of the bed at the large lump sleeping there. Giggles came from their mouths as they turned back to the door. Their father quietly walked into the room carrying a tray laden with food and juice. The smaller purple lump at the end of the bed picked up his bed, eyed the visitors, and went back to sleep, unconcerned.
The man knelt between the two and whispered, "Okay, on three. One…two…three."
"Happy Birthday Mommy!" they squealed.
Kitty blinked as she rolled over, eyeing her daughters, husband, and dragon with dancing eyes, "Breakfast in bed, for me?" she asked as Peter deposited the tray in her lap after she sat up. Peter had gone all out, blueberry crepes, orange juice, eggs, and oatmeal.
"We helped, Mommy," Ilyana announced. Her blonde hair bouncing as she jumped up and down on the bed.
Peter chuckled, "Don't go in the kitchen until I clean up, it looks more like they threw a food fight. How are you feeling?"
Kitty sighed, the first signs of their son's pending arrival had been morning sickness. That wasn't a problem she'd had with the twins. Susan Richards told her to have crackers by the bedside, and she was surprised when it worked. This morning, though, her stomach was fine. Ilyana and Moira were thrilled, they were going to have a little brother.
She laughed as the girls pulled her presents to her from them. They had drawn a picture of their family, school included, in crayon for her. Ilyana was displaying a talent for drawing, imagining what her little brother would look like. Peter presented her with a small box. She opened it finding a bracelet, the twins birthstones on it. "There's room to add more," he said with a smile.
Kitty smiled, families are wonderful things.
Okay, half the inspiration for this comes from the fact that my dad and step-mother, two uncles and their wives are going to be in town this weekend. I am so looking forward to it!
