Before the story starts, everything is owned by Bungie and Activision. Had to get that out of the way.
Chapter 1: The Beginning
"Wh-where am I?" These were the first words out of Andrew Wolfer, as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. The room, or more or less, cave that he was in was almost completely dark, and it felt as if it hadn't been touched in a very long time. Andrew had no sense of what was going on or where he was, but he could tell what environment he was in. Dust drifted everywhere in his limited field of view. Andrew sat on a stone pillar that had collapsed, trying to remember anything about what had happened and why he was in a cave. He was very groggy from something, and nothing was coming back to him. "H-hello," Andrew called out into the darkness, and felt the echo of his words rebound against him. There was no reply. It was strange. It was almost if Andrew didn't remember anything except his name and english, besides things like how to walk. All of a sudden, a bright light turned on in the back of the room. For a second, Andrew had no idea what was happening, and due to the sudden burst of light, he was blinded, due to him being in a dark cave-like room. Andrew tried to cover his eyes, but it was no use. The flashlight had a powerful beam, so it was almost like a laser pointed at his eyes to the point that closing his eyelids did nothing. After a few seconds, the light dimmed considerably to a point where Andrew could squint. All of a sudden, a robotic, but articulated human voice spoke.
"Sorry, Guardian. Just had to make sure it was really you," said an unknown something.
"Who is it?" replied Andrew.
The object in the back of the room then floated up from the shelf it was laying on and flew over to Andrew. Andrew could now see that the object was sort of encased in a moving shell, but with a ball in the center with some sort of an eye in the middle. It was definitely robotic. Andrew was curious what this strange object was, but he was also a little tense due to the sudden appearance of the floating robot.
"Hello, Guardian. I am a Ghost, a machine born from the Traveler's light. I am your companion now. But first, we should probably get out of here. The structure is weak from the blast I issued when I revived you. I can answer all of your-"
Andrew cut off this "Ghost" figure and said, "Well, I don't want to become a pancake, so let's get out of here! But how do we get out…"
"I've got a transmat all ready. It may be weird for you to experience at first-"
A large piece of the ceiling came crashing down between Andrew and his Ghost. The ceiling was now shaking due to the falling of the first piece, and it looked like it would come down any second.
Andrew yelled, "Go! Do your transmat thingy or something-"
Andrew then felt a weird sensation travel up his body. It felt as though he was being splashed by a wave of water, and then, in disbelief, he saw his body start to dissolve into blue energy, starting from his toes and going up to his head, and then he was gone.
