"Freddie! Freddie! Freddie, open the damn door!"

Freddie made no effort to rush to answer it.

"Fredward Benson, if you don't answer the door right now, I swear I will knock it down!"

It was obvious to him, now, who was at the door. Only one person would threaten him like that. Sam.

"What do you want?" He snapped. He wasn't really in the mood to talk to anyone. And he especially wasn't in the mood to talk to Sam.

"Ice." She pushed past him and went straight to the freezer.

"You could've said please." Lately he had gone to all costs to avoid Sam.

Sam shot Freddie a sharp glare, "I suggest you shut your mouth right now or I will give you a black eye that matches mine."

If it weren't for Sam mentioning her black eye, he probably wouldn't have noticed it. He was too wrapped up in his own problems to notice she got hurt.

"Sam, are you okay?" He jumped over the counter to her side.

He cupped her cheek in his hand but she slapped his hand away and her glare seemed to get darker.

"Sam, what happened?" He tried again.

"It's simple, I got in a fight. I kicked the girl's ass, she got a lucky punch in, and I knocked her out. End of story." Sam placed some ice on her eye.

"I don't consider a fist-fight simple, so what's the real reason?" Freddie crossed his arms over his chest.

"The girl pissed me off so I hit her. That's it, the end." Sam's anger continued to rise.

"Really, Sam? Really?" Freddie knew Sam had a temper but she wouldn't hit someone for no reason.

"Freddie, I'm not really in the mood to be pissed off again." Sam snarled, "So, back off."

"Oh, touchy, touchy." Freddie teased, with a smirk playing on his lips, "Did someone get their feelings hurt today?"

Sam took a step closer to Freddie, her hand clenched in a fist ready to hit him, "One more word, Benson, and its lights out."

"Word." Freddie tried to keep a straight face.

Sam, never being one to back out of a threat, reeled back her fist and swung. Freddie was always one with quick reflexes and caught Sam's fist an inch away from his face, his eyes never breaking contact with hers.

"So, do you wanna tell me the reason, now?" Freddie asked, "Or do you wanna try hitting me again?"

"She said a girl like me wasn't good enough for a guy like you, okay? She said someone like you wouldn't fall for someone like me." Sam yelled right in Freddie's face.

For a second Freddie didn't move and Sam thought she had blown her chance.

Freddie slipped his hand across her cheek to the back of her neck. He pulled her as close to him as possible and with his other hand he gently lifted her chin. He dipped his head down and he could feel her breath on his lips. Freddie suddenly lost his self-control and kissed Sam. She gripped his shirt like she needed to hold onto him forever and he cradled her to his chest not wanting to lose the warmth between them.

Freddie pulled back and rested his forehead against hers, "I think a girl like you would be perfect for a guy like me."
