"One-Two-Three" I yelled "Ready or not, here I come!"
I was babysitting Nessie while the rest of the family was hunting, and Edward and Bella took a night of "rest". Apparently even vampires got tired of their offspring.
I never got tired of Nessie, just the dang mutt that hangs around her. Bessie always had so much energy, she was a blast to play with and she was extremely kind for her age.
I heard a rush of bare feet, scampering across the wood floor upstairs by a slamming door.
"I'm going to get you Nessie!" I yelled and got a stifled in response.
I started climbing the stairs slowly, stopping it the top and turning into my room. I started looking in random places, even though I know Nessie was in the bathroom.
"Humm, maybe she's under the bed." I picked it up with one hand holding it above my head. "Nope she's not! Oh I know! She's under the plant!...wrong again!" I loved playing games with her.
"Oh no, I may never find her, I sure hope I do before her parents get home, Edward might eat me if she doesn't show up soon!" I heard a giggle from the bathroom.
"What was that?! I heard her! I'm going to get you Nessie!"
I opened the bathroom door and yelled "Boo" expecting her to be standing there. I looked under the sink. "gottcha!" but no Nessie. I looked in the shower…no Nessie.
"Oh no she's not in here" I started pretending to leave, but actually heading in the direction of the closet.
"Finally I foun-" No Nessie? What? I could have sworn…I was not just fooled by a little kid! She had to be here!
I heard a giggle behind me, I turned just as a small monster jumped from a small crawlspace out cove at the top of the wall, and attacked me.
"Got you Uncle Emmett! You lose!"
"How in the world did you get up there?!" I chuckled
"For me to know and you to never find out!" she yelled flinging herself out of my arms. "You lost, now you got to catch me!"
"Haha hey! Get back her squirt!" I yelled chasing after her. I will win.
