This is my first story so go along with it.

when they were all done crying, Ralph came forward. "Are you going to bring us home?" He asked.
"yes but first we need you to put the sticks down and get on the boat. Ok?" the man asked. They all looked at each other and then at the sticks they were holding. after a few minutes they dropped there sticks and ran to get on the little boat. "wow! hold on a sec." they all looked at the man with a perplexed expressionYah have to get on one at a time so you don't want to slip and hit your head so we have to drag you on. " the boys complied with a simple head nod and formed a line with Ralph and Jack helping each one on until it was only them and the navel officers left on the beach.
Ralph and Jack looked at each other, thinking which one was going to get on first, when Jacks asks," Well are you going to get on first or do you want me to?" Ralph just looked at Jack with an angry look. "ok. I'll get on first then." He said to Ralph and hopped onboard.
Ralph turned to face the Island to take one last look at the place he has called home for the past few months. He put his head down and hopped onboard the boat followed by the naval officers. They were sailing back to a battleship sitting out in deep water according to the captain.
It took many hours to get to the ship for it was very far out to sea. once they got there they were brought to the captains quarters to be debriefed.
"So boys. what happened on the island? wasn't there more then you kids there?"
"Yeah but they died in the plane crash.", Ralph stated.
The captain looked at them in a concerned face then asked," but you few couldn't be the only ones to survive? right?"
"well we had a few....mishaps. we lost a few of us to falling rocks and to sharp branches." Jack replied remembering that he was the one that caused many of the deaths.
"well I guess it cant be helped. would you two boys join me for dinner in my quarters tonight? I would like to hear more of your ventures on the island." he said Ralph and Jack.
Ralph and jack thought about it for a second and then replied," Ok. We haven't had decent food in a while."
"Ok. I'll have an officer bring you boys some snacks and clean clothes after he shows you to the showers.", the captain stated.
"Thanks captain sir." Ralph and Jack standing up and saluting the captain which just made him laugh.
"Colonel Williams."
"Sir yes sir?"
"bring these boys to the extra quarters on deck 9 and show them the showers. after which I would like you to go to the kitchen and get them a small amount of food and stop by the supply room and get them some uniforms."
"sir yes sir. anything else sir?"
"yes give Ralph this uniform." the captain stated walking over to his closet and pulling out a uniform and tossing it to the colonel. "that will be all williams."
"sir yes sir." Williams said walking out the door followed by the boys.
