AN: I should be studying for the comprehensive final I have tomorrow, or perhaps continuing to work on Diamond Minutes, but I needed to get this out of my head before I could do anything else. It was positively holding my brain hostage. Hope you enjoy.

Takes place just after Kisame and Itachi are seen in Konoha.

Kisame watched in amusement as his partner stalked restlessly from one end of the clearing they were supposed to be resting in and back again. He had been at this for a half an hour now, occasionally stopping to attempt to meditate only throw himself back to his feet in frustration at the useless effort after only a minute or two and resume pacing. Kisame felt a small smile edge onto his lips as he watched this cycle repeat itself once again. It was so unusual to see the stoic Uchiha aggravated in anyway that he had been more than happy to sit here and simply watch and, if it were not for the fact Konoha was probably searching for them, he could most likely continue being amused by this for another couple of hours.

However, seeing as Kisame really didn't feel like exerting the effort to fight off a team of hunter-nins should they catch up, it was about time to get moving again.

"Something bothering you, Itachi-kun?" he asked, breaking the silence that had prevailed up to this point and attempting to sound as innocent as possible. Itachi turned his head and glared at him from over his shoulder.

"Nothing of importance" was the curt reply.

"Then perhaps we should continue moving before anyone manages to find us," Kisame suggested.

Itachi stopped his pacing at this and quickly checked the time based on the position of the sun. Not giving any indication of what his thoughts were about the time he now knew they had lost he simply nodded at Kisame and picked his traveling hat up off the ground where he had left it.

"Let's go then," he answered, placing the hat on his head and not turning to look at Kisame before taking off into the trees.

The missing mist-nin chuckled when he noticed the slightly unusual way that Itachi carried himself whilst jumping from one tree to the next, almost as if something was making the movement particularly uncomfortable for him.

"Pity that Hatake had to show up," he mentioned in a conversational tone, Itachi remained silent, "I was rather enjoying playing with the little Sarutobi. Didn't look like you were unhappy with your own choice of fighting partner either."

Itachi merely grunted and they continued on for another minute or two in silence before Kisame decided to try his luck again and spoke once more.

"She was rather pretty, that kunoichi you were fighting. Tell me, what was it like to see her all caught up in her own genjutsu as you slipped out of the illusion above her?" Itachi stopped short and turned on his branch to fully glare at his partner.

"Is there something you're trying to get at, Kisame?" he asked coldly.

"Not at all," he answered, "It's just amusing, every once and a while, to be reminded that in spite of all your genius you still have the hormones of an 18 year old boy lurking inside you somewhere." Kisame smiled rather sharkishly at his partner.

"Hn," came the only response as Itachi began moving again, and if Kisame didn't know better, he would have sworn he heard the other mutter something that sounded suspiciously like 'asshat' under his breath.

AN: For some unknown reason, the thought of Itachi with hormones amuses me to no end. Thus, this was spawned
