Bree's POV
Everything became a blur as I superspeed to school, ignoring Chase, Adam, and Leo's desperate cries for me to become their personal human trolley. It's about time I showed them! They can't just use me. \
I'm not too worried. They'll find a way. Chase will use his "super" smarts and invent some electric car out of a granola bar. Or any other food Adam had on hand.
Crash! Something heavy barreled right into me, causing me to drop my books in shock.
"Ohmygosh, I'm so sorry!" the "heavy object" gasped.
I looked him over. Tall, gelled back brown hair, a bit darker than mine, and freckles. Yes!
"Accidents will happen," I said sweetly, sticking out my hand. "Bree."
"Marcus. I'm new here. Looks like I'm already off to a rocky start."
I smiled and then frowned as the all-too-familiar "going to lecture you all day" voice of my brother could be heard.
"D'ya know those guys?" Marcus questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"I have the honor of being their sister," I said crankily.
"Bree!" Leo said, jogging over. "Why didn't you carry..." he trailed off as his gaze fell on Marcus. "My books! Why didn't you carry my books?!"
Good save. Too close. Chase sent.
I agreed.
I introduced Marcus to everyone. It ended with an excited Adam, a surprised Chase, and an extremely over-protective Leo.
"You mess with my sister, you mess with me." he drawled, standing on his tiptoes to look Marcus in the eye. The eyebrow went up again.
"Hey, Marcus, why don't you come over to our place?" Adam offered. "Ow! Guys!"
Chase, Leo, and I had kicked him in the shin at the exact same time.
"No, no, no, no, no!" Leo yelled. "No way is Captain Eyebrow coming to our house!"
