When I fall...You'll have to let me go
I have all the finer things
The dreams of others and wishes of most
The things only I can afford to obtain within my grasp
Nothing is too far out of reach
Floating out on the seas and drifting aimlessly
Covered in mist and salty clouds resting in haziness
Those things that morning brings as the sun starts to breathe
Across the skies and under the earth are these things that I long to bring to me
Yes, all for me and as I stand out on the mountain tops that I've built for all to see
Remember this...remember how proud I was
How sure I became of all decisions made for me
Confidence overflowing with pride and spilling all over these golden floors
For soon I will be sent out into the woods of despair and depravity
Longing for what I had and eventually regressing into darkness
Leaving all sanity to the elders and wise men that I so heartily hired for protection
For so many long nights will I beg for the sun's rays of warmth
Begging for it and needing it like sight for the eyes in order to function
Cursing the sun during the day when I finally am allowed to feel the heat
Thirsting for the coolness of the moon and the gentle calm that it brings to the table
Like long lost friends will we be in the days ahead
For a shadow shall I become and all of the dreams, wishes, and things that I have obtained will fall like ash from my memory...from my grasp
These things that I have resurrected in my honor will no longer be mine to gloat over
For these very precious jewels shall return to the Master of the worlds and kingdoms to come
And no longer shall mine eyes be granted a glimpse upon the beauties before me
My time has come to disappear into the night
To become one of the others who dream and one who wishes for more
So tell me when I return who I was and I will show you who I've become
