My first fic to be put out for the public. Its number 5 on the TinaKNumber1 and Ginganinja1's 100 drabbles Clorith Challenge. Enjoy
It sat on the desk collecting dusk and holding the memories. It was amazing that something as small as a camera could hold so many precious moments.
Cloud thought about this as he brushed past it. He stopped for a moment forgetting that he even owned the thing. He picked it up and brushed off the old dust.
"What's that?" The sleepy brunette asked rubbing at her green eyes as she approached Cloud.
"It's the camera," he said placing it back down on the desk and looking over at her.
"Oh! Is that the one that we took all those pictures from our trip on?" She asked picking it up herself and turning it on. "I haven't thought about these in ages! Let's look at them," she said eagerly tugging at Clouds arm.
"Aeris," he sighed allowing himself to flop down on the couch next to her. He hadn't thought about the trip in forever either. The entire group had piled into a car for three days just to see the ocean. It had been nice, but not worth three days of Yuffie's commentary on anything that moved.
Aeris continued to flip through the memory and every now and then she would stop and giggle and point out one of the silly events. She really stopped when she got to the last picture. "How did that get on there?" she asked, her cheeks turning a pale shade of pink.
"Let me see," Cloud said looking over her shoulder to the picture. There it was. Their first kiss, there in a photograph. "Who took that??" he said blushing.
Aeris giggled. "I guess Yuffie's sneakier than we thought."
She turned off the camera and set it down on the coffee table while turning to look at the still blushing Cloud. "I remember it too," she said. "Even though it was a couple of years ago. You were all nervous and shy. It was cute,' she said with a smile.
The shade of Clouds face deepened to a light red at the memory. What Aeris forgot to include was that he was so nervous he almost kissed the tree. Cloud sighed and leaned forward to kiss her lightly on the cheek. However, he had terrible timing and decided to do so right as she stood up, allowing his lips to fall on the pillow.
She looked down at him face first in the pillow and couldn't help but laugh. "You haven't changed a bit."
